Graduation Caps Delivery

The first TeamMates community service project of the 2019-20 school year was a success! The nursing staff at Bryan Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) were excited to receive 137 graduation caps made by TeamMates mentors and mentees. There were 21 babies receiving care on this particular day in October. When babies are born too early, have a difficult birth, or have health problems, they go to the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Some babies stay for several days, while others may be in the NICU for months. “We have never received anything like this before,” stated one nurse. It’s a very exciting day when an infant is able to go home for the first time. These graduation caps will add to the celebration!
