The TeamMates Mentoring Program serves students in grades 3-12 who would benefit from having an additional caring adult in their lives. Students are referred to as mentees. TeamMates mentors are asked to spend a class period (approximately an hour) once a week, during the school year at the student’s school talking and listening to their mentees while acting as a positive role model. Mentors are asked to remain a mentor of their mentee for at least three years. While they might help with homework or assignments if asked by their mentee, TeamMates mentors are not asked to tutor mentees.
