November 2019 Mentor Academy

A child’s ACE score is the term used to describe all potentially traumatic experiences that occur before the age of 18. A high ACE score has been linked to many chronic health problems, risky behaviors, and harmful life outcomes. But, developing a child’s resilience can help to avert these risks. In this Academy, Jim Bennett, Lincoln TeamMates Coordinator, will lead mentors through the resources that they can use to help their mentee build resilience and the importance of being there and showing up to meetings.

Join us on Tuesday, November 19 from 5:30-6:30pm at the Lincoln Public Schools District Office (5905 O Street) for this Academy!
