This year’s Fall Kickoff was held at Moore Middle School, featured a taco bar, and a mentee panel, along with a choice of excellent breakout sessions.
Members of the Extra Mile Club and 24 or More Club were also recognized this year. In 2018-2019, 544 mentors became a member of the 24 or More Club, meaning they met with their mentees 24 or more times during the school year. Research shows that this number truly impacts the level of academic success and feeling of hopefulness in a mentee. See the picture below from the Fall Kickoff of the 24 or More Club members in attendance.
Five breakout sessions were offered at this year’s Fall Kickoff event. These breakout sessions helped show why mentoring matters, enhanced mentoring relationships, and gave mentors tools to use for the upcoming school year. Please use the buttons below to download the handouts for each breakout session (not included is Celebrating Differences as no slides were shown).
