Each month, TeamMates will offer a new community service idea for mentors and mentees to participate in together. These projects will help mentees learn about responsibility and compassion while giving back to the community.

Bookmarks for Bryan Health

There are multiple Bryan Health locations around Lincoln, serving our community, including two hospitals that admit approximately 350 patients at a time. That’s a lot of people laid-up in hospital beds! Bookmarks are one of the many options on Bryan’s activity carts that are used to cheer up patients during their stay.

We would like to invite our TeamMates mentors and mentees to share their time and talents to help us spread cheer by making bookmarks for Bryan Health Hospitals patients.

Braided Paper Bookmark Instructions

You are welcome to use your own supplies, or request a kit from the TeamMates office.All bookmarks should be delivered to the TeamMates office at 5905 O Street by FRIDAY, APRIL 27.

If you have questions, would like to request a kit (each kit has supplies to make 6 bookmarks) to be sent to your school, are unable to drop off your bookmarks to the TeamMates office, or would like to be involved with delivering this month’s service project, please contact Stacey Blizek at sblizek@lps.org or call the TeamMates office at 402-436-1990.
