2016 Carmen and Tony Messineo Community Involvement Award Winner: Dr. Tom Osborne

When Tom Osborne expanded TeamMates and appealed for members of the Lincoln community to invest in children by becoming a mentor, he too began making weekly visits to Park Middle School to meet with a young man named Benjamin. After Ben’s graduation he spent time at Lincoln High with Cody.  Then at Southeast with Josiah.

Josiah says that Tom is an extraordinary man, and that he learns something every time they are together.  Josiah has learned how to better himself, as well as those around him.  Tom is a friend, role-model, and a hero.
