Who was your mentor? What lessons they taught stuck with you?
A former manager, Michele, is a leader I greatly respect. We continue to meet every few weeks for coffee even though we haven’t worked together for a while. As my manager she encouraged my growth and development in my role, including advocating for and mentoring me through a promotion to a more senior role. She continues to encourage me to be open to possibilities and to pursue opportunities to learn and grow as a person and a professional: “Why not try it? How will you know what you like and what you’re for ready unless you try?”
What is one of your favorite memories of your own TeamMates match?
I loved hearing her thoughts when she was anticipating the transition from middle school to high school. She was very intentional about what she wanted to do differently. We had great conversations about why she wanted to make changes and what she hoped the outcomes would be in trying new ways to navigate school, friendships, social media, etc. It’s been a joy to see her implement what she wanted to change and watch her blossom in her first year of high school!
