Kindness in Bloom

In Lincoln, adults aged 65 and older are the fastest-growing age group. Aging Partners works with this population and the Lincoln community as a whole to advocate for the needs of older adults. Their highest priority is to ensure safety, well-being, and independence of these mature citizens. To do this, they rely on making connections in the community to get older adults to the correct services. They partner with organizations to teach safety, physical education, and health classes. They also help connect older adults to entertainment through bus day trips around Lincoln and Omaha, shows, card clubs, and get to know you events.

On a cold December day, TeamMates delivered over 150 handprint bouquets, made by mentors and mentees, to some patrons at the Aging Partners movie day. It was clear that the bouquets brought smiles to faces and brightened up the room.
