Buzzing with Thanks

The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdemental to the city of Lincoln. Their 300 person team manages 168 parks, 186 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, 83,000 trees, 9 public pools, even the Holmes Lake eagles, and so much more. These public recreation areas bring a great value to Lincoln’s quality of life.

To show our appreciation to the hardworking Parks and Recreation employees that strive to help people enjoy the city they live in, help support youth development, and promote more active living, TeamMates matches made and gave “Bugsicles.”

The nearly 350 bugs on sticks – or as we like to call them, ‘Bugsicles’ – were given to the Parks and Recreation staff as a thank you for the hours of work they put in to make Lincoln a more beautiful place.
