Makerspaces

Most makerspaces are a concrete place where people can go explore STEAM activities and expand their knowledge. Since LPS has over 60 schools, having a physical space in all of them would be nearly impossible.

Lincoln Public Schools Media Services solved this problem by developing travel Makerspace kits that have been in use for many years now. Their goal is to promote learning through play and experimentation. They’re cross-disciplinary, with elements of art, science and craftsmanship, so students are able to explore many different subject areas. Thanks to a recent partnership, TeamMates are now able to reserve Makerspaces as well.

Please fill out the request form linked below to reserve a Makerspace for you and your mentee. Due to the demand, Makerspaces can only be reserved for one meeting at a time. We do need this request form filled out at least a week in advance.
