Cardinal Paper Ornament

These bright ornaments would look great on a Christmas tree or could be used as decoration all year!

Supplies Needed:

  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Red Paper
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Paper Punch
  • String

Instructions:

Step 1:  Download, print, and cut out our Cardinal Template on red cardstock paper. Please note: the template is 2 pages and works best if you print it on both the front and back sides of the cardstock instead of printing on 2 separate pages.

Step 2:  Cut a slit where the wings will go, indicated on the template.

Step 3:  Cut out a 6″x6″ square of red paper. Fold it accordion style and then crease in half to create two wings.

Step 4:  Slip the wings through the slit in the cardinal.

Step 6:  Punch a hole on each wing. Slip the string through the holes and tie a knot on each end.

Step 7:  Admire your beautiful new ornament on your Christmas tree.
