2012 Carmen and Tony Messineo Community Involvement Award Winner: KOLN and KGIN

For more than ten years, KOLN/KGIN (Channel 10/11) has produced the “TeamMates of the Month” Public Service Announcements (PSAs). For more than 10 years KOLN/KGIN has donated airtime to recognize current mentors and mentees as well as valuable airtime to help recruit new volunteers.  In 2011, 10/11 reporters and cameras shared stories of TeamMates graduates; they spread the word about “Husker for a Day” and the “Coaches Challenge”; and they celebrated TeamMates’  20th Anniversary with their viewers.
