Thanksgiving placemats

Supplies needed:

  • ruler
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • 4 pieces of colored construction paper

Instructions: 

Step 1. Fold a 9×12″ piece of construction paper in half, the long way.

Step 2. On the unfolded side, draw a line across the length 1 inch from the top.

Step 3. Cut 1 inch strips from the fold down to that line.

Step 4. Open up the piece of construction paper.

Step 5. Cut 1×12 inch strips of another color of construction paper.

Step 6. Weave the strips up and down the slits in the construction paper.
