Salt Dough Snakes

Supplies Needed:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 T oil
  • Baking sheet
  • Paint

Instructions

  1. At your first meeting, mix all the ingredients and knead the dough until it’s smooth.
  2. Form your snakes from the dough onto the baking sheet.
  3. Mentors, take the baking sheet home and bake your snakes for 3 hours at 200 degrees F.

4. At your next meeting, you are ready to paint! You can make them as realistic or fantastical as you would like.
